Fire & Test

Yeah, it's true. Once you break a price barrier in record collecting, it is much easier to do it again. After buying the Get The Most test press last year, and then the In My Eyes 7 inch earlier this year, I didn't even bat an eye when I threw down a bid for the Not Of This Earth test from Fire & Ice.

I wasn't fucking around, and I put in a pretty serious maximum bid. I mean, how awesome is that cover art! Holy shit, I needed this. At the last second, however, I lost the auction. Still, I didn't give up hope. Reaper Records was the seller for this on eBay, so I was hopeful that I'd get a Second Chance offer as they mentioned that the label had five copies. One week later, that offer arrived and I didn't hesitate to accept. Not Of This Earth is one of the best albums this year, and I was stoked to win this test press.

Reaper test presses are limited to 15.

That is a great looking Test press. Marcus will be drooling when he sees that.

I just watched one of these close out on eBay a couple of days ago. It went for $135. I had kinda assumed that you might have been watching but probably wouldn't have bid because it went pretty high. Little did I know you already had one!

I hope I can get one of these at some point.

Wow SUPER JEALOUS. I remember watching this but it was just way out of my price range.... Excellent score though. By far one of the best test press covers I've ever seen. This album has really grown on me over time, at first I wasn't that into it but now I love it.

Yeah Marcus, I was watching that one too. I wanted to see how high it would go, or if it would sell for less than I paid. Thankfully, I didn't pay as much as the $135 ending price...not that I didn't spend a stupid amount of money, but it was good see that someone was more stupid than I was.
